Johnathan strolled through the park quietly. He'd just gotten off work like an hour ago but was still just putzing around. He'd only moved into Metro City a few months ago. He'd moved after being offered the job. So far, from what John had seen, there wasn't much to worry about. It was quiet. Yeah, there were a few things here and there but over all, John didn't think this was going to be a very hard job. He was starting to get the hang of it. He was still the "newbie" in the police force and it didn't help that he was super jumpy. His coworkers occasionally would pull childish pranks on him. It was amussing really. He was mainly stuck answering phone calls all day and doing desk work. He'd been out on his first patrol this week, but was back to his office the next day.
Johnathan didn't complain though. He knew he needed experience before they'd consider him for any real work. He had to earn his way there and he knew that. He was still a bit too shy to even hold a conversation longer than a couple of mintues long. John was working on it though. He was trying to open himself up.
Today he'd heard the most interesting news. There had been another jail break today. John didn't investigate into these sorts of things since it wasn't his job. But he couldn't help but to overhear the conversation of a couple of policeman. They were talking of a teenager, but that's not what caught his attention. When one had started disscussing the fact that a blue alien had been the one causing all these jail breaks lately, John perked up thinking surely he'd heard that wrong.
Yes, he'd known of Wayne in the city, but as far as he knew, that was the only alien here. Wayne didn't even look alien either. Had he not seen Wayne flying, he would've assumed he was just another citizen. Syx, the name of the blue teen alien, apperantly had been here as long as Wayne had. John was surprised no news media had reported of a blue alien of all things living in their city. John thought that would've been quite the story. It wasn't that no one knew, but apperently Syx lived at the jail and so no one saw him but other prisoners. Intriged by this information, John broke from his usual silence and had actually asked about Syx. He'd listened to all the information the policaman gave him more and more interested into the topic. Who would've guessed something as strange as Syx and his pre-historic fish would ever live in such a city as Metro City.
John paced around the park thinking on it. He had the urge to go down to the prison just to see this alien. Was this all just some kind of joke they were playing? It hadn't seem like any of them were joking, but still......This was pretty unbelievible.
Watching the kids fly kites and runa around, John sat down on a bench trying to clear his head. Metro City was such a beatuiful city. He was glad he had gotten a job here. John leaned back relaxing against the bench backboard. He'd yet to go home and so still had his uniform on. He didn't mind. If it drew attention, at least citizens would know there was someone there to help if they needed it. Of course, John didn't consider himself by any means ready for feild work. He needed some serious training before he was going to be able to handle that. But the uniform gave everyone the opinion he knew what he was doing.
John supposed in a little bit needed to go back to his place. He needed to fix dinner or something. John's thoughts wondered and he barely noticed anyone around him.
